What qualities do you consider essential in an executive today?
Adaptability, strategic vision, empathy and excellent emotional management. Today, it’s not enough to know how to manage processes; you must be able to inspire people, actively listen, and create environments where talent thrives. An executive must be capable of leading change with closeness and purpose, staying calm in uncertainty, and transmitting trust. The ability to manage one’s own emotions- and understand those of others- is key to building resilient, committed teams.
What advice would you have liked to receive early in your career?
That leadership isn’t about having all the answers but about asking the right questions and surrounding yourself with people who complement you. Over time, I’ve learned that vulnerability is a powerful strength.
What talent do you consistently look for when building teams?
I look for people with curiosity, a learning mindset and a team-player approach. Technical knowledge matters (aptitude), but attitude is the multiplier. Core values are indispensable. Generosity, empathy, courage, resilience… they define both the teams and our culture.
What talent priorities are critical for your organisation over the next 3 years?
Developing leaders who can manage complexity and emotions with agility, driving digitalisation, and attracting innovative profiles who help us evolve without losing our essence. In short: humanising the combination of tradition and transformation will be key to driving sustainability in a BANI environment.
Which internal initiatives are you especially proud of?
Our leadership development programmes, our commitment to continuous learning, and especially our Pro X Culture Project. We’ve created spaces where people can grow, share knowledge and feel like protagonists of change. Cultural transformation goes far beyond celebratory moments: it’s built from within, fostering multidisciplinarity, versatility and continuous learning as strategic levers of talent development. We’ve evolved from being a national organisation with an export vocation to consolidating ourselves as a truly global group, where people broaden their perspectives, cross functional borders and become agents of change.
How do you think leadership will evolve in the coming years?
It will become more inclusive, more collaborative, and more purpose-driven. The leader of the future will be a facilitator - someone who connects talent and builds trust in increasingly hybrid and global environments.
What skills will executives of the future need?
Change management, emotional intelligence and critical thinking. Additionally, the ability to learn quickly- and unlearn when required- will be essential.
What inspires you about the new generation of professionals?
Their authenticity and commitment to causes that go beyond the professional realm. They bring freshness, creativity and a more sustainable, human vision of work.
What book, film or reference has impacted you recently?
Viceversa by Mercedes Chacón, which brilliantly explores the connection between personal and professional life, and the importance of enjoying and learning in both despite life’s challenges. It speaks of authenticity, unconditional love, learning, resilience and courage. Ultimately, of living fully - and how integrating our emotions and experiences enables us to lead with purpose without losing our sense of humour.
If you could summarise your professional philosophy in one sentence, what would it be?
“Being a sherpa of talent: accompanying with authenticity, fostering continuous learning, and having the courage to drive changes that help people and the organisation reach their best, sustainably.”
What advice would you give a future HR executive?
Listen more than you speak, understand the business deeply, and always advocate for the human perspective. And above all, develop emotional intelligence to make difficult decisions and handle uncomfortable conversations. As Billie Jean King says in her book: ‘Pressure is a privilege.’ Facing key moments as opportunities allows us to manage emotions better and make clearer decisions. Being part of change is a privilege- live it with authenticity and determination.
